Relax and enjoy, your session is designed to be fun! I’ll guide you with light direction to capture those candid moments, focusing on the love and laughter you share. By the end, you’ll feel like pros in front of the camera, and together, we’ll capture this stage in your lives beautifully.

on the day

Plan for a relaxed day leading up to your session, giving everyone a bit of downtime.

Mini sessions are often scheduled close together, so arriving 5-10 minutes early helps us get the most from your time and ensures a smooth start. Give yourself extra time to reach the location, park, and settle in...this way, everyone (especially little ones!) can ease into the session comfortably.

If you’re running late, we may need to stick to the scheduled end time to avoid overlap.

weather considerations

Our beautiful countryside make stunning backdrops, but we’re also at the mercy of British weather! Unless it’s a complete washout, we’ll go ahead as planned.

Light clouds are even ideal for creating gorgeous, flattering light. Please keep in mind that weather decisions are often made just a few hours before your session, as conditions can change quickly. I'll keep you updated, and we’ll make the final call as close to the session as possible.

what to wear

Choosing outfits that feel timeless and comfortable makes a big impact. Soft tones like pastels or neutrals and natural fabrics (especially textured or flowy materials) look wonderful on camera. Start with Mum’s outfit and build from there, coordinating 2-3 complementary colors. Comfort is key...when you feel good, it shines through!

Avoid: Bright colors, stiff fabrics, large logos, or characters that could distract from the natural feel of the photos.

Embrace the laughter, spontaneity, and even the unpredictable moments, whether it’s wind, rain, or joyful chaos. There’s no set list or "perfect" shot; it’s about your unique story as it unfolds naturally. Throw the checklist out, and trust that I’ll be there to capture the magic just as it happens.

after the session
